This was a split session with Billy Butterfield and his orchestra. The Capitol Manuscript Archive at Brigham Young University identifies another performance of Margaret Whiting, possibly intended for recording at this session. The song is titled "Waitin' For The Evenin' Mail (Sittin' On The Inside, Lookin' At The Outside)", a 1923 composition credited to Billy Baskette. Interestingly, the same manuscript credits the Billy Butterfield recording of "But Not For Me" to the Pied Pipers instead of Whiting.

1. Split Session
This Frank De Vol session produced three masters and includes one performance with Margaret Whiting.

2. Rejected Master
This performance of "You Do" does not reveal audible problems, although it remained unissued until the digital era. The song was recorded again with slight adjustments at the following Margaret Whiting session (May 22, 1947). The second recording was selected for the single, and is thus considered the official master. Several compilations feature this recording in place of the single version, perhaps in error.

3. Scrapped Song
The Capitol Manuscript Archive at Brigham Young University credits an arrangement of "(Love's Got Me In A) Lazy Mood" to Paul Weston, and identifies Margaret Whiting as the artist it was intended for. However, the Capitol Label Discography reveals that Matt Dennis waxed the tune a few weeks earlier, on April 25, both arranged and conducted by Paul Weston. It's possible the tune was originally intended for Whiting at the time Weston penned the arrangement.

1. Split Session
This is considered a split session, since it produced a solo Jimmy Wakely performance titled "When I Say Goodnight".

2. Conductor Credit
This should be deemed tentative. Michel Ruppli credits Buddy Cole "with orchestra possibly conducted by Nelson Riddle" for the session, presumably because Riddle receives credit for the solo Wakely performance.
