Patsy Cline
Introduction

Here is a list of other Patsy Cline recording sessions that do not apply to the 4 Star and Decca contracts. The first two sessions are confirmed through biographical research, although the recordings may no longer exist.

Date: 1953-1954
Location: True Tone Studio, Georgia Avenue, Washington D.C.
Various Demo Sessions

Lillian Claiborne (pdr), Ben Adelman (eng), Patsy Cline (v), unknown (acc)

a. lost All Because Of My Jealous Heart(Ben Adelman, Kay Adelman)
b. lost I Can See An Angel(Kay Adelman)
Both titles unissued.

1. Talent Scouting
Ben Adelman recorded Jimmy Dean's "Bumming Around" at this studio in 1952, and sent the recording to Bill McCall of 4 Star Records. McCall waxed the song, and it reached #5 Billboard Country. McCall negotiated a talent scouting arrangement with Adelman that eventually scored a recording contract for Patsy Cline.

2. Various Demo Sessions
At least a dozen Patsy Cline performances were recorded at Adelman's studio, and the tapes were sent to 4 Star. The label offered to sign Patsy, and she accepted. The demo tapes disappeared from 4 Star's offices shortly thereafter; the performances listed here are taken from biography, and further details are unknown. Accompaniment was probably Bill Peer with his Melody Boys, or Jimmy Dean's Texas Wildcats, with Roy Clark and Wade Holmes.
