An ensemble performance of “I Saw The Light” closes the episode. Alan Stoker of the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum helped clarify the matter of broadcast date. The Purina sponsored TV broadcast of the "Grand Ole Opry" started production in October 1955 and produced a new episode each month. Patsy's appearance is from the fourth episode, making hers the January 1956 broadcast. Mark Manning helped pinpoint the exact date of January 7, 1956. The book "Ernest Tubb: Texas Troubadour" by Ronnie Pugh confirms the date: "on January 7, 1956, [Ernest Tubb] welcomed Tony Bennett to the program saluting Hank Williams. Jimmy Dickens, Slim Whitman, Bill Carlisle, and an unknown female singer in town for her second recording session, Patsy Cline, also appeared on that show".
