1. Filming vs. Broadcast Date
Historian Jordan Taylor explains that some of the arrangements for this episode are dated August 9th in Nelson Riddle's ledger. The episode was probably kinescoped closer to the August 9th date, although it was broadcast on August 27th.

2. "Chopsticks" Lyrics
This 1877 composition is credited to Arthur De Lulli, a pseudonym for British composer Euphemia Allen. Lyrics were written for The Merry Macs to perform during this sequence; according to Jordan Taylor, one possibility is Shirley Henry, wife of producer/director Bob Henry, who often wrote special lyrics for the show.

3. The Merry Macs
This vocal group consists of Judd (tenor), Joe (tenor) and Ted (baritone) McMichaels, and Marjorie Garland (alto).
